KELLY GRANT

BSc MACP, CCC (she/her/hers)

After years of experience in inclusive care, street outreach, and community support work, the completion of my master’s in counselling psychology (MACP) was a natural next step. These experiences inform my attuned presence and genuine care. I have a special interest in helping the helpers; those that identify as empaths, people pleasers or care-takers. It is an honour and privilege to have the opportunity to hold space and walk alongside you in your journey.

In session, I celebrate the unique human experience and incorporate this by holding a client-centered approach. I believe that as humans, we are incredibly resilient. We learn to adapt in stressful situations throughout our lives. These adaptations may have been necessary to keep ourselves safe. Together we can become curious, are there elements of your coping strategy which no longer serve you? Following your lead and focusing on building a safe, collaborative, and secure relational container, I support your self-exploration. I am excited about stepping outside of societal expectations and facilitating connection to authenticity. I integrate a variety of counselling methods, pulling from mindfulness, emotion focused therapy, somatic therapy, narrative therapy, and non-violent communication.

I am actively considering the concept of power dynamics and privilege that I have in this role. I am exploring ways that I participate in larger systems that may have perpetuated and/or created dynamics of oppression. I see myself as part of a larger living system and acknowledge the part that I play.

Using insurance? We always suggest you check with your provider to see if you can use benefits to cover our sessions. Kelly’s CCC# 11248142
